Almost as if to illustrate this attitude, Jose Rafael Encarnacion, the year-old owner of a bordello named Casa Rudy, boasted of having fathered nine children with eight different women, and spoke proudly of how he had built up his business by sending his brother into rural areas to recruit young women.
